(KPL) An annual book festival 2022 entitle "Love the Lao Language" will be held at the World Trade Centre in Vientiane on Oct 9-13.
The event aims to raise awareness of reading promotion for students, parents and general public members and the publication of children’s books, dharma books and general books, make general public members realize the importance of reading.
Following the success of the Book Festival 2019 to promote reading, which was held at the WTC International Trade Center under the slogan "Making reading a culture, bringing knowledge to sustainable progress", there are more than 65 thousand participants with more than 10 activities.
This year’s Book Festival has been postponed from 2021 due to Covid-19.
More than 10 activities aim at creating the new generation to get a comprehensive and balanced physical, mental and intellectual knowledge development.
The event will provide an opportunity to cartoonists, writers, publishers to exchange lessons on gaining access to target readers.
