(KPL) The Laos-China Railway Company has hastened to improve the buying and selling tickets due to the disorderly situation in traveling through the Laos-China railway, there are many tourists queuing up to buy train tickets at the Vientiane train station, which may damage the image and tourism of Lao PDR.

 The Laos-China Railway Company along with related parties have come out to clarify and admit all the problems that are true and are ready to improve the problem as soon as possible to make various services, especially the train ticket buying and selling service, more convenient and faster.

According to the Deputy Director General of the Laos-China Railway Company, Mr. Daojinda Siharath reported at a press conference on August 3.

The Laos-China Railway Company admitted mistakes, deficiencies in the availability of train services and is ready to correct the mistakes.

He said that the some problems related to service work, the company has welcomed constructive feedback in all aspects based on the reality and actual capacity to make improvements, especially the train ticket buying and selling service.

The company is working on building a ticket sales system through online through a mobile app which the Laos-China Railway Company has researched, the operation has been completed based on the software system, the next step will be to complete the improvement and purchase equipment to install, it is expected to be completed and can be used by the end of 2022.

For the condemnation of the society about the public toilet to facilitate those who come in line to buy tickets or to do various transactions, the company has already resolved by allocating the second floor of the station building as a service point.

For the toilet and parking services outside the station building, the current bidding process has already passed and the construction is in the process of implementation. It is expected to be completed soon.

For the future plans, the Laos-China Railway Company will coordinate with the Railway Department of the Ministry of Defense, the Tourism Management Department, Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism to jointly research and fix train tickets for tourists to make them more comfortable.

He said that the Laos-China Railway Company will increase the opening time of the station building for passengers who want to travel.

In the past, some passengers arrived at the station before the departure time for a long time, but the station building has not yet opened, so they had to wait outside for a long time.

Director of the Railway Police Department, Colonel Kaison Keomani said that the disorderly situation in travel, queuing to buy tickets at the train station in Vientiane capital happened because the travel demand have been increase of the domestic and foreign tourists.

In addition, there are groups of people and individuals who take advantage opportunity to buy and sell tickets for false profits, especially in the tourist group, usually the travel company has already allocated the quota but still mobilizes people to buy more tickets in order to get a large number of tickets, Colonel Kaison Keomani said.

The railway police will work together with the train inspectors to pay attention to arranging the queues to buy tickets in an orderly manner in the place, to prevent individuals and groups of people from buying and selling tickets to false profit-seekers, and will take strict measures to solve them.

In addition, it is proposed that the Lao-China Railway Company separate ticket sales areas for groups of tourists or specific travel companies in order to maintain order and reduce overcrowding.
