(KPL) On Feb 21, Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Sengphet Houngbounyouang laid a wreath and signed a book of condolences for former politburo member and former Prime Minister of Vietnam Truong Vinh Trong at Lao embassy in Hanoi, Vietnam.

“Truong Vinh Trong had contributed significantly to a struggle against invading powers for the national unification of Vietnam. The comrade had dedicated his life to the national protection and development cause of the fraternal Vietnamese people. The comrade was a close friend of the Party, government and people of the Lao PDR,” wrote the ambassador.

Ambassador Sengphet Houngbounyouang expressed in the book his profound sadness over the passing away of comrade Truong Vinh Trong stating that his death constituted not only the loss of a former Party and government leader, who had abundant experience for the Party and people of Vietnam, but also the loss of a close friend for the Party, government and people of the Lao PDR.
