(KPL) Miss Universe Laos 2018 is open for interested candidates nationwide, a press conference was told on Jul 3.
“Miss Universe Laos 2018 aims to make young women interested in learning, patriotic, and encourage them to present Lao culture and traditions to the world community,” President of Miss Universe Laos ProjectAlexandra Bounxouei told the press conference held in Vientiane.
The conference saw the presence of Vice President of the Lao Journalists’ Association Somsanouk Mixay, and representatives of the Lao Youth Union and the media.
“This year contest will be held under the theme “The Charming Beauty of Laos into Universe”. This year has been designated Visit Laos Year 2018 so we will promote the Lao culture through Miss Universe Laos 2018,” said Alexandra who is also Vice President of TV Laos.
Candidates in northern provinces can apply for the contest at the Pouman Hotel in Luang Prabang on Jul 7. Meanwhile those in southern provinces can submit their applications at Champassak Grand Hotel on Jul 14 and candidates in central provinces can submit their applications at the Landmark Hotel in Vientiane on Jul 21.
